Honolulu firefighters responded to a 7:30 p.m. call for a vehicle fire on Farrington Highway that apparently took the life of one person, according to HFD spokesperson Capt. Earle Kealoha.

The incident occurred at 81-601 Farrington Highway near Yokohama Bay.
A fire investigator has been dispatched to the scene.
The Honolulu Police Department's traffic accident website identified the incident as a collision, although no details are yet available.
