Man indicted for burglary in attack on 69-year-old woman
An 18-year-old man was indicted yesterday on charges of first-degree burglary and robbery in connection with a Jan. 26 attack on a Mä'ili woman.
Bail for Nico McLean was increased from $25,000 to $100,000 after the grand jury indictment was returned.
The victim in the case, Teresita Pascua, 69, told police that a man whom she later identified as McLean entered her yard the afternoon of Jan. 26 and asked for an individual who did not live there, according to police reports.
Pascua said she turned to go back in her house and woke up later covered in blood in her living room.
McLean was arrested Feb. 5 at a Kaukama Road pig farm in Mä'ili.
