Hype 5-0 advances in MTV's 'ABDC'

Hype 5-0, the first hip-hop outfit selected to represent Hawaii in MTV's “Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew” last night advanced to the show’s season-five nationals, slated to get under way on Feb. 18 (10 p.m., Hawaii time).
The seven-member Oahu crew competed against four other crews representing the west in a regional competition. The nationals will feature three crews from west, east and south regions, respectively.
Hype 5-0 includes: Josh “Hazmat” Ulep, 22, of Wailua; Brittnie Aguilar, 18, of Mililani; Casey Kalahiki, 23, of Honolulu; Marc “Dueynutz” Duey, 21, of Kapolei; Jonathan “Ramones” Ramones, 18, of Ewa; William “Nessy” Soares III, 19, of Honolulu; and Allen-Charles “Brain” Pascual, 26, of Ewa.
