Toyota Tacoma 4WD recall affects only 73 trucks sold in Hawaii
Servco Pacific Inc. said Toyota’s recall of certain 2010 Tacoma 4WD trucks affects just 73 of the vehicles sold in Hawaii.
Toyota is recalling the trucks for what it termed “a possible crack in the joint portion of the front propeller shaft,” Servco said in a news release. The recall affects 8,000 of the trucks nationwide, Servco said.
The Tacoma is the most popular truck in Hawaii, but most customers do not order the four wheel drive version of the vehicle, according to Servco.
“Customers will be notified to bring their vehicles in to their Toyota dealer or service center for an inspection and possible repair,” said Servco chairman and chief executive officer Mark Fukunaga.
