NFL: AP Source: Raiders agree to new deal with kicker

By JOSH DUBOW

ALAMEDA, Calif. — A person familiar with the contract says the Oakland Raiders and Sebastian Janikowski have agreed on a $16 million, four-year deal that is the richest for a kicker in NFL history.

The person says Janikowski will be guaranteed $9 million. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced the signing. ESPN first reported the contract Tuesday.
Janikowski was eligible to be an unrestricted free agent. But the Raiders were able to sign him to a long-term deal without using a franchise or transition tag. Janikowski got the same deal All Pro punter Shane Lechler received last year.
Janikowski made 26 of 29 field goals last year. He only missed one kick under 57 yards and also converted a career-long 61-yarder.
