Firefighters check the damage after a delivery truck set off a geyser of water when it struck a fire hydrant at the Hawaii Kai Towne Center early this morning.

A delivery truck struck a fire hydrant at the Hawaii Kai Towne Center on Keahole Street early this morning, sending a fountain of water into the air.

The accident happened about 5:30 a.m.
Board of Water Supply crews had the water shut off shortly before 6.
