An Oahu grand jury today indicted a 36-year-old man in connection with the Feb. 9 stabbing of two men in Chinatown.
Marsian Aliwis was charged with two counts of second-degree attempted murder and one count of first-degree attempted murder. If convicted on the first-degree attempted murder charge he faces a mandatory prison term of life without the possibility of parole.
Aliwis is accused of stabbing two men shortly before 10 p.m. Feb. 9 on Maunakea Street near North Beretania Street. The two men were stabbed as they attempted to stop an argument between Aliwis and his girlfriend, police said.
