Cecilio Rodriguez, half of the popular island singing group Cecilio and Kapono, was arrested late Thursday for allegedly driving while under influence of an intoxicant.
It was Rodriguezs second arrest for drunken driving in three years. In July 2007, the 65-year-old singer was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant.
He was fined $350 and had his drivers license suspended for 90 days, according to state court records.
In the latest incident, Rodriguez was stopped on the Moanalua Freeway near Fort Shafter at 11:05 p.m. Thursday, police said. He was booked for OVUII and released at 1:30 a.m. on $1,000 bail.
Rodriquez is scheduled to appear in Honolulu District Court on March 13. Rodriguez could not be reached for comment.
