Police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting a law enforcement officer early yesterday in Waikīkī.

According to Honolulu police, an officer saw several men fighting in an alley near the Big Kahuna Sports Bar on Kūhiō Avenue at 3:20 a.m.

While the officer was breaking up the fight, the man allegedly attacked him.

The man was arrested and was still in custody yesterday.
