'Spiritual messenger' offers workshop at UH
Neale Donald Walsch, whose "Conversations With God" book series reportedly established him as a "modern day spiritual messenger," will offer a workshop tomorrow at the University of Hawai'i.
During the workshop, Walsch will offer "God-inspired insights" and "fresh perspectives of the new spirituality, with wonderful tools for healing and living."
The event is set for 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in UH-Mānoa's Spalding Auditorium. General admission tickets may be purchased in advance for $60. They will cost $75 tomorrow. Advance tickets can be bought at www.hawaiiwellnessmagazine.com.
JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL AT DUKE THEATRE IN MARCH
The Eighth Annual Temple Emanu-El Kirk Cashmere Jewish Film Festival is scheduled for March 6 to 18 at the Honolulu Academy of Arts' Doris Duke Theatre.
Filmmaker Lynn Roth will be at the 6:30 p.m. opening night reception March 6 to introduce her award-winning Israeli-American film "The Little Traitor." All seven films in the festival are Hawai'i premieres.
