Police have re-opened one lane of Kamehameha Highway in Kaaawa while they investigate a fatal traffic accident.

The accident happened about 4:43 p.m.
City Emergency Services Department spokesman Bryan Cheplic said one woman in her 70s was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:26 p.m.
A woman in her 50s was transported to a hospital in serious condition, and two men, one in his 50s and another in his late teens, were transported in stable condition.
Details on the accident were not immediately available.
Police initially closed both lanes of Kamehameha Highway after the crash. About 8 p.m., they reopend one lane, and were contraflowing traffic.
