Ulu Ko Park to be closed while improvements made
Ulu Ko Park in Líhu'e will close Monday for several months while improvements are being made, Kaua'i County announced yesterday.
The park is expected to reopen in June when the project is completed.
Among the changes planned for Ulu Ko Park are the installation of fencing around the perimeter, an underground irrigation system and the planting of new turf.
The park improvements are being made by Grove Farm Inc. as a condition of a zoning ordinance, which was signed into law in February 2008.
