The National Weather Service this morning lifted a high-surf warning for north- and west-facing shores across the state.

But with the diminishing waves still expected to be in the 18- to 22-foot range, an advisory remains in effect through tomorrow.
City lifeguards are also urging beachgoers to practice caution and to heed any warning signs that might be posted.

Meanwhile, the weather service says another very large swell will arrive Sunday and is expected to peak on Monday, bringing warning-level surf to north- and west-facing shores.
Clouds and light showers will linger over the central Islands, but should break up as the day wears on, the weather service says.
High pressure north of the state will be moving to the east, bringing a brief return of trades today and tomorrow.
