LINCOLN, Neb. — Volleyball star Lauren Cook is returning to her home state to play for her father at Nebraska.
Coach John Cook announced Monday that Lauren Cook is transferring from UCLA, where she was named national freshman of the year in 2009.
The 5-foot-7 setter out of Lincoln Pius X High School will have three years of eligibility with the Cornhuskers.
Lauren Cook started 32 matches at UCLA last season, averaging better than 10 assists and two digs a set.
The Huskers will return six starters from a team that went 26-7 and advanced to the NCAA semifinals.
