Officials said they will close Kamehameha Highway in both directions fronting the Hauula fire station because of a vehicle crash that resulted in a leaning utility pole.

Traffic is being rerouted to Hauula Homestead Road and Kukuna Road. Hawaiian Electric Co. has been called to replace the pole. It was not immediately known how long the road would be closed.
