Kal�heo man rescued from ocean near Sheraton Kauai

A part-time resident of Kal�heo nearly drowned Tuesday afternoon on the south shore, Kaua'i County officials said.
Beachgoers found the elderly man face-down in the water aboutt 3:11 p.m. between the Sheraton Kaua'i Resort and the Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club.
They brought him to shore and began CPR. Lifeguards and firefighters continued resuscitation efforts. The man was taken to Wilcox Hospital.
