HILO — A hearing has been set to determine if a man accused of raping and killing his live-in girlfriend's 5-year-old daughter during the Labor Day holiday weekend is fit to stand trial.

Hilo Circuit Judge Glenn Hara has ordered 30-year-old Anthony Serges Poulin to appear Feb. 19 at 10 a.m.
A psychiatrist and two psychologists have filed written reports with the court finding Poulin fit to proceed. The hearing on those reports was requested by Poulin's court-appointed attorney, Stanton Oshiro.
Poulin is accused of sexually assaulting and then drowning Javieanne Win in the bathtub of a Wainaku apartment on Sept. 5. Win, a first-grader at Chiefess Kapiolani Elementary School, was in Poulin's care while her mother, Jennifer Abiley, was at work.
Poulin has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder, abuse of a family/household member and two counts of first-degree sexual assault. He remains in custody in Hawaii Community Correctional Center, unable to post $1 million bail.
