Producers of “Soul Surfer,” the biopic about Kauai surfer Bethany Hamilton, will hold a casting call for background extras this Saturday at Turtle Bay Resort.
Interested union and nonunion background extras will be interviewed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the hotel’s Hawaii Room.
The producers are looking for “all ethnicities, beachgoers, skateboarders and church patrons” but you must 18 and older.
However, they are also looking for “Thai-looking children” 5-12 and adults 20-50.
Bring a current photo.
If you have questions, e-mail the producers at soulsurferextras@gmail.com.
“Soul Surfer” is the story of Hamilton’s return to surfing after losing her left arm in a shark attack.
