Body of female discovered off Ka'ena Point trail
The body of a female of an undetermined age was found yesterday in a tidepool area off Ka'ena Point trail, the Honolulu Fire Department said.
Fire Capt. Terry Seelig, a spokesman for the department, said a call came in about 2:30 p.m. that a couple of hikers had spotted the body after walking in about a mile from the end of Farrington Highway.
The fire department investigated along with police.
Seelig said officials recovered the body by about 3 p.m. and turned it over to the Honolulu medical examiner's office.
