A Hawaii-based Coast Guard aircrew helped evacuate more than 60 Haitian Americans from Port-au-Prince to South Florida yesterday.
The group, including several infants and toddlers, are U.S. citizens who were in Haiti last week when a 7.0-magnitude earthquake leveled much of the island nation.
The aircrew, from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, transported the group from Port-au-Prince to Homestead Air Reserve Base aboard a C-130 Hercules.
