Brookings says 74,545 on Oahu are below poverty line
The number of people living below the poverty line on Oçahu was 74,725 in 2008, according to a new report from the Brookings Institution.
The report said the 39,298 poor who lived in Honolulu’s metropolitan area represented 10.8 percent of the population.
