The state Department of Transportation says maintenance on a runway at Honolulu airport will mean increased air traffic over Kalihi and Downtown areas.

Runway 8R will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. today through Friday as crews replace sign markers.
During this time, flight patterns for departing aircraft will be modified.
