Advertiser Staff
The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for the north- and west-facing shores of Ni'ihau, Kaua'i, O'ahu and Moloka'i and the north-facing shores of Maui due to a new northeast swell that is expected to produce surf of 15 to 22 feet.
Surf is expected to rise tomorrow morning and continue through the night.
The advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Monday.
A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in the advisory area, producing rip currents and localized beach erosion.
