We are pilgrims on Earth. Our life here is brief — so brief as to merely be an instant in the far reach of time. When we die, we cannot take with us all the possessions we accumulate in our short years. We don't even have the satisfaction, which the ancient Egyptians had, of having our hard possessions buried with us.
