NCAA baseball: Ferraro drives in 6 as San Diego routs Wis.-Milwaukee, 22-1

TEMPE, Ariz. — Mike Ferraro went 4 for 6 with a homer and six RBIs as San Diego crushed Milwaukee 22-1 on Saturday at the Tempe Regional.
The Toreros (37-21) pounded out 25 hits and will face the Hawaii-Arizona State loser in Sunday's first game. The fourth-seeded Panthers (33-26) were eliminated.
Ferraro hit a three-run homer in the first, singled in a run in the second and doubled home runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Nick McCoy went 4 for 5 with a solo homer, four runs scored and three RBIs, and Zack Kometani had four hits and two RBIs. Bryan Haar added a two-run homer.
San Diego's potent offense supported starter A.J. Griffin (8-3), who worked five innings and allowed two hits and a walk with six strikeouts.
