UH's Linsky is WAC Pitcher of the Week

University of Hawai'i pitcher Lenny Linsky has been named the Verizon Wireless Western Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Louisiana Tech first baseman Alex Williams, a sophomore from Vick, La. (Holy Savior Menard Central HS), was named WAC Hitter of the Week.
Linsky, a sophomore from Palos Verdes, Calif. (Peninsula HS), made three
appearances, earning three saves in UH's wins over No. 25 Oregon.
Linsky started with a two-inning save, striking out three without giving up a run,
hit or walk.
He then allowed one hit in a one inning save before coming in
to record the final two outs in the win.
Linsky pitched 5.1 innings with five strike outs while giving up only one
hit during the week.
Williams hit a pair of key home runs, including a walk-off shot in the bottom of the 10th inning to defeat
McNeese State 8-7. He also delivered a three-run homer in the bottom of the
fifth inning to help the Bulldogs to an 8-5 victory in the series finale
against McNeese State. On the week, Williams hit .538 (7-for-13) with six
runs, seven RBI, two doubles, two walks and a pair of home runs. Louisiana Tech went 3-1 for the week.
