Robbery suspect arrested in Waikiki
A 23-year-old homeless man was arrested yesterday as a suspect in the Feb. 25 robbery of a 22-year-old man.
Pollice said the younger man reported that he was walking near Ala Moana Center about 3:30 a.m. when he was approached by a stranger who shoved him, causing him to fall to the ground and hit the back of his head.
The stranger held him down and removed cash from his pants pocket before running away, the man told police,
They said the victim identified a suspect the following day via a photographic lineup.
The suspect was located yesterday near the corner of Ala Moana Boulevard and Kalakaua Avenue, where he was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
