CrimeStoppers has released a security camera image of the man who robbed Central Pacific Bank's branch at 1338 South Beretania St. on Monday.

At about 9:35 a.m., the man brandished a gun at a teller and demanded money. He left on foot headed toward Kīna'u Street.

It was the seventh bank robbery on O'ahu this year. That is nearly twice the number as at the same time last year.

All have taken place in a span of less than three weeks.

The man seen in the video image is wearing a baseball cap and a surgical mask, which matches witness accounts in several of the other recent robberies.

The robber is described as in his 30s or 40s, about 6 feet tall and between 140 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a white baseball cap with a dark bill.

Anyone with information about the robbery can call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on a cell phone.
