Round Top Drive reopened after downed tree knocks out power, blocks road
Honolulu police reopened Round Top Drive at 4:15 p.m. today after a downed tree knocked out power to the area and forced the closure of Round Top Drive in both directions between Makiki Street and Maunalaha Road.
The road was closed at 6:02 a.m. Power was restored to customers about 2:30 p.m.
City crews were called to remove the tree and about 40 Hawaiian Electric Co. customers were without power for much of the day.
