Public lecture on volcanic air pollution set for Monday
Dr. Elizabeth Tam will discuss volcanic air pollution, the differences between vog, fog, smog, smoke and bioaerosols and how they differ in likely health consequences from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 15 at Windward Community College, Imiloa 111.
Tam is a professor and chair of medicine at the University of Hawai'i John A. Burns School of Medicine. She has studied the respiratory effects of vog and her research is on environmental and genetic interactions of asthma.
