There is a red-flag warning in effect for the leeward sections of all Hawaiian Islands until 6 p.m. today.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu said strong and gusty trade winds along with low relative humidity and warm conditions will create critical fire weather conditions today, especially during the late-morning and afternoon hours.
A red-flag warning does not predict new fire starts.
