HONOLULU — The Navy is awarding environmental cleanup contracts of up to $30 million to four small Hawaii businesses.
The work will be performed at sites mostly on Oahu, but some work may also need to be done at Navy and Marine Corps sites in Guam, Japan and Diego Garcia.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific said Tuesday the contracts are going to three Honolulu businesses — CKY Inc., EATC JV, WCP-Zapata JV, LLC — and one Kapolei business called FOPC Inc.
Each company received an order for $10,000. They’ll also compete for additional orders.
NAVFAC Pacific small and disadvantaged business adviser Floria Pang says the contracts are a a significant accomplishment for the small-business community in Hawaii.
