PAUL BROWN'S HAPUNA SYSTEM
Uber-stylist and entrepreneur Paul Brown has just returned from a whirlwind tour of the Mainland, introducing his new Hapuna Keratin Retexturizer System. It's an organic natural straightener that he says offers the best solution for calming even the thickest, most inflexible hair, transforming it into a smooth, supple and manageable style.
Special ingredients include kukui nut lipids, sea salts, sea algae and plankton.
The collection, which consists of a shampoo, conditioner, mist and retexturizer, is free of the chemicals formaldehyde, aldehyde and thio.

MORE-AFFORDABLE UNDIES
While Princesse Tam-Tam and Ai Amour are known for their high-end lingerie (think La Perla, Aubade, Lejaby), in a move that's sensitive to our economic environment, the local owners are introducing new lines with more affordable price points.
Among them: "No Romeo," which features T-shirt bras in fun tropical prints and colors such as mango ($18 to $29) and sassy panties and boyleg briefs ($9). Now, in a range of sizes, and choice of organic cotton or lace, they offer "O Lingerie," especially for the full-figured woman. New collections come in every month. Both stores are in the Royal Hawaiian Center. Information: www.aiamour-luxurylingerie.com, 262-0803.
