Kaimukī won as a family.

The Bulldogs won this year's O'ahu Interscholastic Association White Division and Division II state titles with a small, tight-knit team that considered each other as family.

Sophomore Dejah Fa'asoa, the OIA White Player of the Year, was one of the Bulldogs' offensive factors.

Her sister Letisha, a junior, was one of eight Bulldogs to earn honorable mention honors. Their mother and coach, Mona, was chosen as Coach of the Year by her peers.

Kaimukī beat Kahuku for the league title and beat defending champion Moloka'i for the state crown. Dejah had 20 points in the state final.

Also named to the first team were Kahuku senior Hi'ilei Cummings and Leilehua senior Alondra Hooks.

Cummings helped Kahuku finish third in the state. Hooks was a consistent offensive presence.

Though their teams won just one game each, Waialua senior Savannah Ash and Nānākuli junior Kirstie Rosa were also named to the first team.

Ash had 24 points in a loss to Waipahu and 25 in win over Nānākuli.

Rosa had 23 points in a win over Nānakuli and 22 in a loss to Kalāheo.

Chosen to the second team were Kahuku's Joshlyn Noga, Kaiser's Mele Adams, Leilehua's Patricia Lindo, Waipahu's Genivee Velasco and Kalāheo's Kourtni Thomas.
