The University of Hawai'i Professional Assembly Board of Directors has endorsed U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie for governor citing his dedication to "the fundamental values that have been at the core of Hawai'i's social contract for the last 50 years."
"Congressman Abercrombie made it clear that Hawai'i's economic future is intimately connected to the future of the University of Hawai'i system," said UHPA executive director J.M. Musto. "The quality and competitiveness of tomorrow's workforce depends entirely on the investment we make today in higher education."
UHPA represents about 3,500 faculty members in the UH system.
