LIHUE � A 71-year-old Koloa man was killed Tuesday morning in a two-car crash on Kuhio Highway in Lihue.

Police said Charles Cushman was headed north at around 4:25 a.m. near the entrance to Wal-Mart when he drifted across two southbound lanes and hit an oncoming vehicle.
Cushman�s car flipped and he was pinned inside. He was taken to Wilcox Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver of the other vehicle, a 43-year-old Kalaheo man, sustained minor injuries. His passenger, a 27-year-old Anahola woman, was not injured.
Kuhio Highway was closed until 8 a.m. while police investigated.
It was Kauai�s sixth traffic fatality of the year.
