ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Line stays sturdy in keiki hands
| |||
If you're a parent of wee ones, then you know that kiddie books often take quite a beating — torn pages, drool stains and bite marks, among other damages.
Consider Indestructibles, a line of baby-proof books that are printed on nontoxic, tear-resistant and 100 percent washable material. The picture books, illustrated by artist Kaaren Pixton, have no words, allowing parents to make up their own stories that can grow along with keiki.
Among the titles available: "Creep! Crawl!" about animals that crawl and "Wiggle! March!" about farm animals. The books ($4.95, Workman Publishing) are available at www.workman.com; search under children's fiction.
