Colorado National Guard will provide health services
Kahuku Medical Center will host a health fair from 2 to 6 p.m. March 24 on the hospital's front lawn.
The 140th Medical Group of the Colorado Air National Guard will provide the service for the community-based project, E Malama Kakou, or "To Care for All." It is supported by the Hawai'i Air National Guard and the state Department of Health.
Services available are screenings for dental, vision, cholesterol/blood sugar, asthma and blood pressure; prescriptions review by a pharmacist; and general physical exams and sports physical exams.
Education topics will include women's health, infection controls, diet and nutrition, food-borne illness signs and symptoms, and personal hygiene.
