A hiker was rescued from Laie Falls trail Sunday after he injured his leg and couldn’t walk out.

Firefighters rappelled down to the hiker from a helicopter just before 1 p.m.
The man and his female companion, both in their 20s, were flown out in a helicopter basket.
Both the hikers were local residents.
