Perry & Price have split up — but don't worry, it's temporary.

For what was believed to be their first split show ever, Larry Price broadcast solo yesterday from Jimmy Buffett's in Waikīkī during the popular Perry & Price Saturday Morning Show, publicist David Sayre said in an e-mail.

Michael W. Perry called in from his Kailua home, explaining that he was laid up with a detached retina. He said he's lying at a 30-degree incline on his left side and has to do so for two weeks.

Price wasn't quite on his own, though. Joining him on stage were a cardboard cutout of Perry — on the left, of course — and chief engineer Dale Machado.

PRINCE HOPES TO JOIN TREK TO NORTH POLE

LONDON — Prince Harry said he hopes to join a group of disabled soldiers in a charity expedition to the North Pole to raise money for wounded troops.

The 25-year-old prince, who is patron of the four-week trek campaign, launched the event in London Friday.

The participants — ex-soldiers who lost their limbs while serving — aim to cover up to 300 miles across the frozen Arctic Ocean, taking the Siberian approach to the North Pole next spring. They hope to become the first amputees to reach the pole.

CANCELED PROM RESULTS IN SCHOLARSHIP

JACKSON, Miss. — A lesbian high school student embroiled in a legal flap over her school's prom policy has received a $30,000 scholarship on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Constance McMillen was speechless Friday when the talk show host pulled out an oversized check from the Web site Tonic.Com, a digital media company. DeGeneres said she admires McMillen for challenging Itawamba County School District rules that would prevent her from escorting her girlfriend to the prom. The school district canceled the April 2 prom after McMillen's request.

LADY GAGA TAKES AIM AT PRODUCER

NEW YORK — Lady Gaga is firing back at a producer who claims he launched her career and is suing her for $30.5 million.

Her lawyer said in a court filing made public Friday the agreement at the heart of the suit was "unlawful."

Song writer and music producer Rob Fusari filed the lawsuit Wednesday. He said his protege and former girlfriend, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, ditched him as her career soared.
