Fujikawa shoots 71, ties for fifth

Hawai'i's Tadd Fujikawa shot a final-round 71 and tied for fifth place at 10-under 278, five strokes off the pace, and earned $8,083 in the eGolf Tour's $233,847 Cabarrus Classic at Concord, N.C., yesterday.
Jason Kokrak of Bradenton Beach, Fla., shot a 66-273 to win by one stroke.
The tie for fifth marked the best of the 2010 season for Fujikawa following a tie for 32nd and a tie for 39th in the first two events of the year. He moved up to 12th place on the eGolf Tour money list with $11,860.

FURYK LEADS TRANSITION
PALM HARBOR, Fla. — Jim Furyk played a bogey-free third round, finishing off a 4-under 67 to build a three-shot lead at the Transitions Championship as he tries to win for the first time since the 2007 Canadian Open.
Furyk was at 11-under 202. Defending champion Retief Goosen shot a 1-under 70, part of a four-way tie for second. The others at 8-under 205 were K.J. Choi (67), Carl Pettersson (70) and Bubba Watson (70).
