State and county buildings will fly the Hawaii state flag at half-staff on Sunday in honor of the late Cec Heftel, Gov. Linda Lingle�s office said.

Heftel, a former Hawaii congressman and media executive, passed away last month. A memorial service honoring Heftel�s life will be held Sunday at Hawaii Theatre.
Heftel represented Hawaii�s 1st Congressional District from 1976 to 1986 and owned KGMB radio and TV in the 1960s and �70s. He also served on the state Board of Education from 2004 to 2008.
