HFD firefighters and the Air One helicopter are on scene dealing with a small brush fire in the Kahana Valley.
HFD Capt. Earle Kealoha described the one-acre fire as "insignificant." He said the only problem with the fire at 53-597 Kamehameha Highway near Haleaha Road was that it was very hard to reach. Three engines and Air One have responded. The fire is contained on the lower side, and Kealoha said the helicopter would be used to deal with the fire on the upper side.
