Police are investigating a complaint filed by a 22-year-old woman who said a stranger tried to sexually assault her early Monday near the Ala Moana Center.

The woman said the incident, which has been classified as a first-degree attempted sexual assault, occurred about 4:05 a.m.

Police had not made any arrests in the case as of 9 a.m. Monday.
