Schuman Aviation Co. said it had been granted an Air Agency Certificate by the Federal Aviation Administration after a review found it complied with all federal requirements for an approved repair station.

Schuman Aviation is the parent company of Makani Kai Helicopters, Makani Kai Charters and Pacific Air Express. The company located off of Lagoon Drive does contract work for more than ten operators, including Flight School Hawaii.
