A 69-year-old Salt Lake man was arrested last night after his grandson told police he slashed him on the hand.

The grandson, 20, said he was arguing with his grandfather about 11:30 p.m. when the grandfather threatened to kill him, grabbed a kitchen knife and cut him on his right hand.

The grandson was able to call police and officers arrested the older man at the scene on Ala Napunani Street on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree assault.
