Vanessa Redgrave says she's grieving the deaths of her sister and daughter but also "glorying" in their memory.
Redgrave's first public comments since the May 2 cancer death of her sister, Lynn Redgrave, came during a taping of ABC's "The View" that airs today.
Vanessa Redgrave's eldest daughter, Natasha Richardson, died in March 2009 from head injuries suffered during a skiing accident. The acclaimed acting family also suffered the recent loss of Redgrave's older brother, Corin.
In the TV interview, Redgrave also discusses her husband, Franco Nero, who co-stars in her new film, "Letters to Juliet."
ANNA NICOLE SMITH BELONGINGS UP FOR BID
Anna Nicole Smith's former boyfriend is unloading 250 personal belongings from her estate at a Las Vegas auction.
The items Larry Birkhead is auctioning include outfits worn by the late model, paintings and a collection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.
Proceeds will go to charity and a trust fund for the daughter Birkhead had with Smith, Dannielynn Birkhead. Julien's Auctions will run the sale June 26 at Planet Hollywood.
Smith was the 1993 Playboy Playmate of the Year. The Texas native became a clothing model before landing her own reality TV show. She died in 2007.
ORTIZ NOT CHARGED IN FIGHT WITH GIRLFRIEND
Mixed martial arts star Tito Ortiz won't face domestic violence charges from an altercation last month with his ex-porn-star girlfriend.
The Orange County district attorney's office said yesterday there isn't enough proof of domestic violence. Ortiz was arrested April 26 at the home he shares with Jenna Jameson and their two young sons.
The couple apparently already has reconciled, and a restraining order against Ortiz was lifted last week.
COMEDY CENTRAL AXES SARAH SILVERMAN
On her Comedy Central show, Sarah Silverman got drunk on cough syrup, mocked the abortion rights debate and seduced none other than God.
Not any more.
The network says "The Sarah Silverman Program," which recently ended its third outrageous season, won't be back for a fourth.
Audience erosion was cited as the main reason for canceling the show.
LIL WAYNE BUSTED FOR MUSIC CONTRABAND
Lil Wayne's attempts to keep up the beat behind bars have gotten him in trouble in prison, an official said yesterday.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper faces potential discipline after guards at New York City's Riker's Island prison found a charger and headphones for a digital music player stashed in a potato chip bag in his cell Monday, a corrections department spokesman said. Lil Wayne is serving a yearlong sentence after pleading guilty to a gun charge.
The items are contraband, because inmates are permitted to listen to music only on radios and headphones sold at the jail commissary.
