Three from Hawaii in NCAA women's golf championships

Three golfers from Hawai'i will be teeing off in the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships starting tomorrow at Wilmington, N.C.
UCLA sophomore Stephanie Kono (Punahou '08 of Honolulu) finished in a tie for 10th place at the NCAA Women's West Regional May 8. UCLA, the top ranked team in the tournament, will compete in its 10th straight NCAA Championships.
Denver freshman Kimberly Kim (formerly of Pāhoa, Hawai'i) finished 11th in the NCAA Women's Central Regional and earned an individual berth in the championship.
New Mexico senior Britney Choy (Leilehua '06 of Wahiawā) finished in a tie for 38th place at the Central Regional and will be participating in the championship with the Lobos.
The tournament runs through Friday at the Country Club of Landfall's Dye Course.
