Hunting dogs discover man's body by Camp Smith
Hunting dogs in the area of Camp H.M. Smith found the body of a white male more than 60 feet down an incline in a remote ravine yesterday.
Authorities said no foul play was suspected.
Families of the civilian hunters called 911 around 12:50 p.m., prompting a response from Honolulu police, Honolulu firefighters, military police from Marine Corps Base Hawai'i and federal firefighters, according to the Marines.
Searchers discovered the body of a man who appeared to between 40 and 60 years of age. They also recovered a small backpack and water.
