An 18-year-old man was arrested in Kalihi yesterday afternoon after he allegedly shoved one police officer and assaulted a second, both of whom had been sent to break up a large brawl on Beckley Street.

The more seriously injured officer was attacked from behind and wound up with bruises, contusions and a broken finger, police said.

Backup officers were sent and arrested the suspect about 3:10 p.m. on suspicion of first-degree assault against a police officer and harassment.
